CFD To Begin Offering "Video News Reports"
Dear Friend of the CFD, we would like to make you aware of a new service we are making available beginning today.
The present and emerging communications channels present a constant challenge to communicate timely and accurate information to our friends and partners. One of our core values is to constantly re-evaluate technology and look for ways to improve service. With that being said, CFD Office of Media & Public Affairs will begin making "video news reports" (VNR's) available when deemed appropriate.
This service will afford us to provide you with the most up to date incident information (from on-scene, office, etc.) via video and can be viewed live over the Internet or viewed at your convenience as a podcast. All VNR's will be recorded and available to view on the CFD Bambuser site www.bambuser.com/channel/CharlotteFireDept.
We invite our friends and partners to take full advantage of this opportunity by subscribing to this service. If you are not following CFD on Twitter @charlottefire or @charlottefd, we invite you to do so now. You will be notified when CFD is broadcasting via email and/or @charlottefire (Twitter). Broadcasts may also be viewed on our News & Information page at www.charlottefiredept.blogspot.com
Eternally committed to duty and service,
Mark Basnight
Public Information Officer
Office of Media and Public Affairs
Charlotte Fire Department
