Structure/ Location
2 story multi- family dwelling/ condominiums of wood frame construction.

Cause & Origin/Damage Estimates
Electrical in nature causing approximately $10k in fixed property and contents damage.

Injuries/Accidents
NO INJURIES to civilians or FF’s. 1 feline rescued and administered oxygen via special pet mask on scene.

Evacuations/ Persons Displaced
4 persons displaced. Occupants made own arrangements for temporary housing.

Smoke Detectors
Present.

Incident Synopsis
FF’s responded to a report of a structure fire @ the Muirfield Condominiums, 7936 Greenside Court just before 10 am Monday morning. Forty-two FF’s were called to service and worked approximately 40 minutes to control this blaze which was confined to the exterior of the structure where the fire is believed to have started. The cause of blaze has been determined to be electrical in nature and caused an estimated $10K in damages to two units (7936 & 7944). There were no injuries to report to civilians or FF’s but, one feline was rescued and administered oxygen via special pet oxygen mask. Three occupants were displaced, but made arrangements for temporary housing on their own.

Determined to be an intentionally set fire.

Incident Synopsis
Charlotte FF’s responded to a report of a structure fire @ Central United Methodist Church located at 6030 Albemarle Rd. shortly after 6 am Monday morning. It took thirty-one FF’s approximately thirty minutes to control this blaze which was confined to the office area of this facility. However, a significant part of the Church received smoke damage. The cause of blaze has been determined to be incendiary/ intentionally set and caused an estimated $500K in damages. If any one has information they are asked to call Crime Stoppers

2 story multi-family dwelling of wood frame construction. Owned & managed by the Charlotte Housing Authority.

Cause & Origin/Damage Estimates
Fire caused by lint build-up in the exhaust of the laundry dryer. Fire confined to the kitchen/ laundry room area. Monetary damages are estimated at less than $10K.

Injuries/Accidents
15 y/o male occupant self-evacuated through 2nd story window. Pt was transported with non life-threatening injuries.

Evacuations/ Persons Displaced
2 persons temporarily displaced. Occupants working with the Housing Authority for temporary shelter.

Smoke Detectors
Present and operating.

Incident Synopsis
FF’s responded to a report of a structure fire @ 415 Fairwood Ave shortly before 8 am Monday morning. Twenty-six firefighters were called to service and took just several minutes to control this blaze which was confined to the kitchen/ laundry room area where the fire is believed to have started. The cause of blaze has been determined to be caused by a lint build-up in the dryer exhaust. The fire caused an estimated $10k in damages. One occupant was home at the time of the fire and self-evacuated by jumping from a second story window because of smoke conditions. The occupant received minor injuries as a result of this fall and was transported to an ER for precautionary measures. Two occupants were displaced as a result of the blaze and the Charlotte Housing Authority was assisting the occupants with securing temporary housing.
